Franco-German Arte TV released a film about Armenian music
On April 26, the Franco-German Arte TV  broadcast a documentary on the history of Armenian music, directed by Anne-Kathrin Peitz.   

The film is called "From the depths of the soul. A Journey to the Musical Landscape of Armenia". Musicologists Alina Pahlevanyan, Tatevik Shakhkulyan, and Mher Navoyan are involved in the film.

The film tells about Komitas, who has become a symbol of the perception of this musical heritage "in modern culture". The film explores his rich heritage and draws parallels with today's music.

The film stars composers Aram Khachaturian, Tigran Mansurian, Gevorg Dabaghian, Choir "Geghard" , pianist  Mikael Ayrapetyan, canoonist Narek Kazazyan, "Ayas" metal band and jazzman Vahagn Hayrapetyan.
