
Georgy Saradjev Festival to culminate with symphony music

Closing Concert of Georgy
Saradjev Festival will take place at Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall on
the 27th of October. The festival is dedicated to the famous musician G.
Saradjev’s 100th anniversary. Armenian National Philharmonic
Orchestra (Artistic Director and Principal Conductor: Eduard Topchjan)
will present Capriccio Espagnol by N. Rimsky-Korsakov, Piano Concertos No. 14 and No. 23
by W.A. Mozart (soloists: Vag Papian from Israel and Anna Saradjian form Canada).
The Opening Ceremony of Georgy Saradjev Festival took place at Aram Khachaturian House-Museum of the 25th of September with the concert of Japanese pianist Takahiro Akiba, violinist Karen Shahgaldyan and soprano Tatevik Movsisyan. One student concert and evenings of piano music will also take place within the frame of the Festival. Georgy Saradjev's memorial tablet opened in Yerevan, on the house where renowned musician lived.
