Bach's seven motets to be performed by Hover State Chamber Choir on March 14
On March 14, the "Hover" state chamber choir concert will be held at Komitas Chamber Music House. The program includes seven motets by J. S. Bach, which will be performed for the first time in Armenia in one concert.
"As in all periods of the Hover State Choir's activity, our programs are developed according to the abilities, stylistic features, and skills of the singers currently included in the choir, as well as their proposals to address this or that program.
In the different periods of our choir's activity, we have performed many Bach cantatas, in the 2000s, the oratorios "St. John Passion" and "St. Mathew Passion" (conductor: Z. Vardanyan).The joint work with A. Talalyan's student orchestra and several German conductors also reserve the right to initiate this project (despite the fact that the composition of the choir has changed by 90%)," notes Sona Hovhannisyan, the choir's founder and conductor.
