Kapan International Music Festival kicks off
The third Kapan International Music Festival has kicked off in Kapan, the center of Syunik region, with the “Prelude” concert program.

The musical celebration will continue for 12 consecutive days, offering the audience concerts of various musical genres performed by more than 30 invited musicians. Guests of “Kapan Fest 2025” will have the opportunity to see 18th-century string instruments, including Stradivarius and Guarneri del Gesù violins, which will be exhibited in Kapan by the famous violin maker Florian Leonard from London. The Kapan International Music Festival will end on July 15 with the “Symphonic and Concerts” concert program.

Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Daniel Danielyan delivered a welcoming speech at the opening. He emphasized that the decentralization of cultural life is a priority issue on the state policy agenda of the RA Government. “The Kapan Festival is being held for the third time and it can already be considered successful, as it has managed to occupy its special place in the cultural life of Armenia,” said Daniel Danielyan, wishing the festival participants a rich cultural day.

According to Kapan Mayor Gevorg Parsyan, the festival has turned into a musical celebration, which is also an exceptional educational opportunity for Kapan musicians and music school students to communicate on site with artists with world-class experience, exchange experience and knowledge, as well as establish valuable professional connections.
The special guest of the festival is the world-famous pianist Martha Argerich, who will perform with the “Martha Argerich and Friends” program on July 12. During the festival, world-renowned artists Marian Petrescu, Arturo Solar, Francesco Villa, Dong-Hyuk Lim, Lida Chen Argerich, Damien Darioli, Ido Bar-Shai, Jean-Marie Parreir and others will perform on stage.
