Komitas Museum-Institute celebrates its 10th anniversary
The Komitas Museum-Institute is celebrating its tenth anniversary. During this time, the cultural institution has been actively involved in Armenia and abroad, organizing museum exhibitions, the Komitas International Conference-Festival, and several cultural events. The museum has become a popular destination for travelers, particularly Diaspora Armenians.
Alfred Kocharyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, visited the Komitas Museum-Institute to congratulate it on its tenth anniversary.
"First and foremost, I'd like to thank the museum staff. Ten years is a short time for the museum's activities. Still, thanks to the team's efforts, dedication, and hard work, we now have a well-established cultural structure that is, first and foremost, a tribute to their success and accomplishments. You have successfully created a structure that best depicts Armenia's cultural environment in the international arena. The museum's numerous programs and projects have also been effectively presented abroad, bringing the great composer Komitas' legacy and activity beyond Armenian borders. I hope you continue to work with the same enthusiasm. The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism provides ongoing assistance for the museum's development”,- Alfred Kocharyan mentioned this during his congratulatory speech.
Tatevik Shakhkulyan, Director of the Komitas Museum-Institute, discussed the museum's efforts over the last decade and its major achievements.
Hayk Melikyan, an Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia, and the Geghard singing group performed at the event.
