Milan City Council recognized the independence of Artsakh
Milan City Council recognized the independence of Artsakh and condemned the aggression of Turkey and Azerbaijan. Matteo Forte, a member of the city council, announced this on his Facebook page, posting the results of the voting.
"In the presence of the Honorary Consul of Armenia, the City Council has just approved my motion to recognize the Artsakh Republic, which condemns the Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression. After the vote of the Palazzo Marino in 1997, in which for the first time the municipality recognized the Armenian Genocide of the twentieth century, Milan is opening the way again."
28 out of 29 members of the Council of Elders were present at the voting. The decision was made unanimously.
