Sayat-Nova's statue unvailed in Ashgabad
RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan is participating in the international conference of ministers of culture dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the poet Makhtumkuli Fragi's birth in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.
High-ranking delegations from more than 20 countries, representatives of international organizations participated in the opening of the forum.
As part of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the famous Turkmen poet and thinker Makhtumkuli Fragi, a park named after him was opened in Ashgabat, where, in addition to Fragi's monumental statue, statues of world-famous writers were also installed. In the park, the newly opened Alley of Classical Poets, the statue of the famous Armenian poet-minstrel Sayat Nova was placed among the statues of Dante Alighieri, Shota Rustaveli, Honoré De Balzac, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Hafez Shiraz, Fyodor Dostoyevsky and other world-famous writers.
Minister Zhanna Andreasyan and RA Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ruben Kharazyan attended the ceremony of the opening of the statue.
