The Museum of Armenian Choreography opened at Pedagogical University
The Museum of Armenian Choreography opened at Khachatur Abovyan State Pedagogical University. ESCS Minister Janna Andreasyan, deputy-minister Ara Khzmalyan, the University’s rector Srbuhi Gevorgyan, and professors attended the opening ceremony.

According to the Ministry, the Museum is unique not only in Armenia but also in the world. It was founded on the initiative of Karen Gevorgyan, the head of the choreography, Artistic Director of “Berd” Dance Ensemble.

Minister Janna Andreasyan greeted everybody on this occasion and noted that the museum’s environment in the universities lets the student be more educated. “I am sure, the Museum will become a platform for new programs and ideas ”․

“The Museum shows the history of choreography created by great people. Here we have brought together the work of dance giants, their dedication, and their attitude towards dance art.” Karen Gevorgyan says.

Objects, artifacts, and museum specimens relating to the history of dance art and dance rituals from the pre-Christian period to the present day are presented in the museum's four halls. Additionally, there are reproductions of priceless museum artifacts as well as costumes, unique studies, manuscripts, and literature on the history of Armenian dance. The museum also exhibits significant historical, archeological, costume, and dance collections.
