Spiritual songs in the folk tradition of Javakhk
Within the program "Livelihoods and Transformations of Folk - Canonical Songs in the Armenian Culture of Javakhk" the e-book "Spiritual songs in the folk tradition of Javakhk" by  Zaven Taghakchyan, the head of the Aram Kocharyan Library of the Institute of Art of the National Academy of Sciences of the RA, Senior Researcher of the Department of Folk Music is available. 

The project is implemented with the guarantee of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Art of the National Academy of Sciences of theRA with the financial support of the Ministry of ESCS. The work presents the musicological examination of the folk songs kept in the library of the Institute of Art of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia after Aram Kocharyan and the scientific-expedition recordings of the popular versions of the canonical songs sounded in different church ceremonies (1927-1999) for the first time.

The book includes Gospels, Resurrection Prayers, Ashugh's hymns of the Armenians of Javakhk in the 20th century, parallelly comparing and analyzing the versions of folk and canonic hymns. The editor of the e-book is Hripsime Pikichyan, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Cultural Studies at Yerevan State University.
