Winners of Khachaturian Competition are announced
Leonard Raymond William Weiss from Australia and Fernando Oscar Gaggini from Argentina are the winners of the 21st Khachaturian International Competition. This year, supported by the Ministry of ESCS, took place in the "Conducting" professional category.
This year, 18 conductors selected by the jury from 12 countries around the world participated in the competition: France, Argentina, Armenia, the USA, South Korea, Latvia, Taiwan, Australia, China, Canada, Great Britain, and Japan. The Khachaturian Competition jury consisted of world-renowned members, including George Pehlivanian, Vag Papian, Darrell Ang, Ni Fan, Vassily Sinaisky, Ruben Jais, and Piotr Sułkowski. The jury was chaired by the esteemed conductor Vassily Sinaisky.
