"Charles Aznavour - 100": Concert tours of NCOA to be held in Europe
With the support of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, the State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia will have a concert tour titled "Charles Aznavour - 100" from October 16 to 31. The tours aim to respect Aznavour's memory by presenting the best examples of his artistic legacy and reliving the emotions and love that the chansonnier inspired for decades.
The concert tour will include six different countries and nine cities. Concerts will be held throughout Italy, England, Wales, Belgium, Germany, and France. Aznavour's works will be presented with new arrangements and instrumentations, breathing new life into his well-known songs. The concert programs only feature pieces by Armenian composers Aznavour, Komitas, Amirkhanyan, Mansuryan, Altunyan, and Aharonyan.
The first five concerts of the tour will be conducted by Sipan Olah (Great Britain), with soloists Sipan Olah (tenor), Astghik Vardanyan (violin), Hayarpi Yeghikyan (soprano, Great Britain), and Sona Barseghyan (piano).
Conductors Philipp Amelung and Fritz Kremer will lead the concerts in Tübingen, Germany, and Stuttgart. Soloists feature Astghik Vardanyan (violin) and Sona Barseghyan (piano).
Conductor Garik Kyurkchyan will lead the orchestra in Strasbourg and Nancy, France. Soloists feature violinist Astghik Vardanyan, pianist Sona Barseghyan, and singers Araik Avanesyan and Varduhi Toroyan.
