69 musical instruments were purchased for music and art schools in 2020
Within the "Acquisition of Musical Instruments for Music and Art Schools of the Republic" program, The Ministry of ESCS of RA provided musical instruments to the regional music and art schools of the Republic of Armenia.
The distribution of musical instruments is based on the results of hearings conducted by a number of leading specialists in the music and art schools of the country, as well as on the principle of ensuring the proportionality of cultural education in the regions.
The musical instruments are provided to young talented musicians studying in art and music schools, as well as to the students of newly formed professional classes.
Within the program, 69 musical instruments were purchased in 2020, including piano (14), violin 1/4 (6), violin 2/4 (6), saxophone (3), trumpet (5), clarinet (6), flute (3), canoon (10), santoor (3), duduk (8), shvi (5).
87 musical instruments were purchased in 2019, including piano (8), violin 1/8 (4), violin 1/4 (7), violin 2/4 (6), violin 3/4 (1), violin 4/4 (2), cello 1/4 (1), cello 2/4 (2), cello 3/4 (2), cello 4/4 (1), trumpet (6), clarinet (6 ), flute (4), ruler (10), kamancha (3), tar (2 ), santoor (4), oud (1 piece), duduk (9), shvi (7 pieces), flute (1 piece).
"Training on a national string and wind instruments in RA music schools" is has been implemented by the government since 2007, due to which national string and brass classes have been reopened in schools in a number of towns of the country. The education in these departments is free.
