Isahakyan 150. The premiere of "Abu Lala Mahar" oratorio took place in Opera Theater
On the initiative of the Ministry of ESCS and the Yerevan Municipality, an event dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of the great Armenian poet, writer, and public figure Avetik Isahakyan was held at the A. Spendiaryan National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet, which was attended by Deputy Minister Daniel Danielyan and Deputy Mayor Levon Hovhannisyan.
Within the events held on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Avetik Isahakyan, in January 2025, the Yerevan Municipality announced a competition for the creation of a musical work, a vocal-symphonic work, based on Isahakyan’s poem “Abu-Lala Mahari”, the winner of which was the oratorio “Abu-Lala Mahari” by composer Vache Sharafyan.

During the anniversary evening, the premiere of Vache Sharafyan’s oratorio “Abu-Lala Mahari” took place, with A. Performed by the Spendiaryan National Academic Orchestra and Choir of the Opera and Ballet Theater: conductor: Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia Karen Durgaryan, choirmaster: Narine Voskanyan, soloists: Arman Arakelyan, Tigran Hakobyan.
