Premiere of "Antouni" ballet tool place at A. Spendiaryan National Academic Theater
The "Antouni" ballet premiered at the Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet in honor of Komitas's 155th birthday, the composer, musicologist, and founder of modern Armenian classical music.

ESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan and Deputy Minister Daniel Danielyan attended the event.

Edgar Hovhanisyan's ballet "Antouni" was first performed in 1969, commemorating Komitas' 100th anniversary. Rudolph Kharatyan played Komitas at the time, while Anna Marikyan played Khumar.

After 55 years, Edgar Hovhannisyan's ballet "Antouni" has returned to the opera stage with a new production, innovative staging techniques, and cutting-edge stage design innovations.
