Nine Comments on Beethoven’s Symphonies
A presentation and discussion of the project "Nine Comments on Beethoven’s Symphonies" by the Ensemble Assonance will be held at Composers Union of Armenia on August 28, at 7 p.m. Among the participants of the project are composers Artur Akshelyan, Ruben Antonyan, Artur Avanesov and Aram Hovhannisyan.
The project was implemented within the "Pilgrimage to Beethoven" festival. Ensemble Assonance presented 9 pieces based on Beethoven’s all symphonies and composed them especially for this project. Composers Hovik Sardaryan, Artur Akshelyan, Ernest Dulgaryan, Ruben Antonyan, Artur Avanesov, Arsen Babajanyan, Aram Hovhannisyan, Vahram Sarkissian, and Alexander Iradyan wrote one composition, each with the interpretation of Beethoven’s one symphony. The concert was broadcasted on January 31 on online platforms. Conductor: Arthur Akshelyan.
