Irina Krasotina to lead Chamber Music School in Yerevan
For the second year, the Primavera Foundation of Armenia, with the support of the Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall, is organizing the Chamber Music School. This year, the school will be held from May 5 to 8, concluding with a gala concert on May 9 at the Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall. Admission to the concert is free for everyone. This year, the school is held under the auspices of the Armbrok Investment Company.
As in previous years, the Chamber Music School will be directed by Irina Krasotina, a professor of the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory. The professor will conduct individual lessons with existing and new chamber ensembles that have been applied in advance for participation. This year, the school also includes foreign musicians. Participants from Armenia are coming from the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, the Romanos Melikyan State Music College, and the Tchaikovsky Specialized Music Secondary School. The courses are free for all Armenian participants.
At the gala concert on May 9, Professor Krasotina will also perform with the students as part of ensembles. Eight different ensembles, including instruments such as the flute, clarinet, violin, piano, cello, and classical guitar, will perform works by Mozart, Khachaturian, Grieg, and Piazzolla. The concert will be recorded and provided free of charge to all participants for their personal use.
Summing up the results of the previous years' "Chamber Music School," Professor Krasotina noted: "I am amazed by the diligence of young Armenian musicians, the progress they have shown in a short time, and their musical sensitivity and receptiveness. They have achieved wonderful results, I am proud of each musician. A chamber ensemble is of invaluable importance in the professional life of any musician; it teaches cooperation, communicates with other musicians on stage, builds mutual trust and understanding, creates creative connections, and establishes friendly relations between young musicians. A chamber ensemble also provides a wonderful opportunity for musicians who have not chosen a solo career to stay on stage and successfully continue their musical activities." In previous years, young musicians have participated in the "Chamber Music School" with great enthusiasm, expressing their appreciation for all the professional skills and secrets that Professor Krasotina has passed on to them. The participants also highly appreciated the professor's human qualities and that Ms. Krasotina joined them, performing side by side on the same stage with the ensemble, which was a rare experience for them.
In the meantime, the Primavera Foundation of Armenia is preparing the Armenian translation of Irina Krasotina's methodological manual on chamber ensembles for publication.
Irina Krasotina is a professor at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, head of the ensemble department at the Ippolitov-Ivanov State Music Pedagogical Institute, master of Spanish music, candidate of arts history, and head of the "Chamber Music" department of the Primavera Foundation of Armenia.
