Renowned Armenian pianist Maria Ghambaryan celebrates her centenary

October 1, 2025, marks the centenary of the birth of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia, Professor Maria Ghambaryan.

In Moscow, the renowned artist was celebrated in a crowded concert hall at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music, where Maria Ghambaryan taught for more than sixty years.

The anniversary celebration began with greetings from the Rector of the Gnesin, Alexander Rizhinsky, and the Director of the Gnesin College of Music, Valery Grokhovsky. It featured musical performances by the pianist’s colleagues and students, as well as laureates of the Maria Fest International Competition and the Festival of Pianists and Chamber Ensembles.
