International conference entitled "Aram Khachaturian - 120" to be held in Yerevan
The RA National Academy of Sciences will organize an international conference entitled "Aram Khachaturian - 120" on September 12-14.
The conference was organized by the Art Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, in collaboration with the Aram Khachaturian House-Museum and the Composers Union of Armenia, with support from the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia's Higher Education and Science Committee. The purpose is to provide the current status of Khachatryan studies, to evaluate the notable Armenian composer's creative, performance, and musical-social activities, to value his legacy, and to show the importance of Aram Khachatryan's work in the history of both Armenian and global music.
Leading scientists and young researchers from 8 countries (Armenia, Russia, USA, Ukraine, Latvia, Netherlands, Sweden, Lebanon) will participate in the conference.
