Regional concert series of Sergey Khachatryan and ANPO culminated in Goris
With the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, Sergey Khachatryan with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia, led by Eduard Topchyan, had an unprecedented concert tour in the regions of Armenia: Gyumri, Meghri, Kapan and Goris.
Before the regional tour, Sergey Khachatryan performed with ANPO at Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall on May 5.
The concerts of the regional tour started on May 13 at the Vardan Achemyan State Drama Theater of Gyumri and continued on May 15 at the Meghri Sports and Cultural Center and on May 16 at the large culture hall of the Kapan municipality. The tour culminated on May 17 with a concert held at the Vagharshyan State Drama Theater in Goris.
Aram Khachatryan's Violin Concerto, excerpts from the ballet "Spartak" and music from the drama "Masquerade" were played in the program.
According to Eduard Topchjan, this tour was planned for September 2023 and should have been dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the renowned Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian. Unfortunately, the tour was canceled due to objective reasons, and now he is very happy that the project was able to bring it to life.
Sergey Khachatryan assured that he will do everything to ensure that regional concerts are continuous, noting that, to our delight, Yerevan's cultural life is very rich, and internationally renowned artists often perform in the capital. "I think that the activity of the cultural life of the marzes should be a mission for Armenian artists."
Syunik regional administration also supported the concerts in Syunik. The concert held in Goris was supported by the "ContourGlobal Hydro Cascade" company.
