On September 24, at 8:00 p.m., the Komitas Chamber Music Hall will host an evening of Gratitude dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Trial of Soghomon Tehlirian and the Birthday of Komitas Vardapet. During the concert entitled "Soghomon and Soghomon", pianist, RA Honored Artist Hayk Melikyan will present Komitas' eternal music and works dedicated to Vardapet, and beloved actor, RA Honored Artist Babken Chobanyan will read the excerpts from the Transcript of Tehlirian's Berlin Trial ( in Armenian). Music of Komitas, Harutiun Dellalian, Tatev Amiryan, Artur Avanesov, Hayk Melikyan will be performed within the concert.

Two Soghomon, Tehliryan and Soghomonyan. Two destinies were distorted caused by the Armenian Genocide.  Vardapet's silence and the Revenge of Tehliryan. On the one hand, Soghomon, shocked to the point of madness, on the other hand, Soghomon, who made a verdict against the organizer of the massacre of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire, the former Turkish vizier Talaat Pasha.

" I have killed a man, but I am not a murderer". In 1921, a hundred years ago, a Berlin court, confirming these words of the defendant, found Tehliryan innocent in the premeditated murder of the executioner of the Armenian people.

The names of two great Armenians, two Soghomons, whom we pay tribute to, have been united in the "Soghomon and  Soghomon" project. We bow to the musical genius Soghomon Soghomonyan and express our gratitude to Soghomon Tehliryan, who overnight turned from an accused to an accuser. We are grateful to the Berlin court, whose decision became the first sensational condemnation of the Armenian Genocide. The author of the project is Erna Revazova.
