Spanish Passions and Dreams
A concert entitled "Spanish Passions and Dreams" will be presented at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall on March 11, at 7:00 p.m. by the State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia. The concert will be held under the baton of Spanish conductor Ricardo Casero, soloist for the concert is Juan Pardo (trombone, Spain).
The concert will feature Manuel de Falla's Overture and Ritual fire dance from the ballet "Bewitched Love", Eduard Elgar's Serenade for strings, Carl Maria von Weber's Romance for trombone and string orchestra, Enrique Granados's Intermezzo from the opera"Goyescas", "Holberg Suite" by Edvard Grieg.
Ricardo Casero is the music and artistic director of the Orquesta Reino de Aragón, Spain, resident orchestra at Zaragoza’s Auditorium. Graduated with honors from the highest institutions in Spain, the United States and England , Fulbright Grant member and world awarded in several international competitions, Casero has furthered his conducting career by working as a collaborative conductor at the Palau de Les Arts in Valencia working closely to the greatest, Zubin Mehta in Aida, Turandot, Traviata and Simon Boccanegra with Lorin Maazel, The Bohème of Riccardo Chailly or The Trojans of Valery Gergiev.
Quickly Casero starts a brilliant career as a conductor, highly demanded as a guest conductor around Europe, Orchestre de la Opera de Marseille, France; Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra Budapest; Halle Staatskapelle, Germany; Danubia Symphony Orchestra, Budapest; Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra, Mexico; Transylvania Philharmonic Cluj, Romania; Romania National Radio Orchestra etc.
Trombonist Juan Pardo has played in orchestras around the world. Since September 2018 JuanPardo has been the principal trombonist of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra (ANPO, Principal Conductor and Artistic Director Eduard Topchjan). Before that Juan Pardo was the principal trombonist of the Orquestra Filarmónica de Jalisco (OFJ, Mexico, 2010-2017). Also Juan Pardo was the principal trombonist of the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (Monterrey, Mexico, 2008 - 2009). After holding this position, Mr. Pardo was appointed as the principal trombonist of the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de Guanajuato (OSUG) under the baton of Maestro Enrique Batiz. 2009-2010. During his professional career, Juan Pardo worked under the baton of prestigious Spanish and well-known international conductors such as Jesús Amigo, Enrique Garcia Asensio, Jesús López Cobos, Pedro Halfter, Antoni Wit, Lior Shambadal, Eduard Topchjan, James P.Liu, Jan Cober, Ibis Abel, Pinchas Steinberg, Nelo Santi, Sebastián Weigle, Enrique Batiz, Leslie Duner, Edmond Colomer, Guido María Guida and Marco Parisotto and others.
