1. A. Spendiaryan studied at the Moscow Imperial University from 1890 to 1895, first at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and then at the Faculty of Law.

2. 1896-1900 he received private lessons in composition with the famous Russian composer N. Rimsky-Korsakov. At the end of his studies, Spendiaryan wrote his first large symphonic work, "Concert Prelude", dedicating it to his favorite teacher.

3. In 1924 Spendiaryan moved to Armenia, initiating large-scale development of musical culture. Through his efforts, an orchestra class was established at the Yerevan Conservatory, the first symphony orchestra was founded, and its debut took place on December 10 of the same year under the direction of Spendiaryan.

4. Spendiaryan also wrote a song based on Rafael Patkanyan's famous poem "Ari, im sokhak" (not to be confused with a famous song).

5. Spendiaryan dedicated the first series of the symphonic suite "Crimean Sketches" to the memory of the prominent painter Hovhannes (Ivan) Aivazovsky.

6. Symphonic image of "Three Palms" based on a poem by M. Lermontov Spendiaryan wrote in 1905, in Crimea. It was awarded the most prestigious award of its time - Glinka Prize.

7. In 1905, Alexander Spendiaryan invented a musical instrument made of leather belt and 12 bronze bells for the composition of "Three Palms". The instrument was called "Spendiarophone" by the composer's teacher Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.

8. A․ Spendiaryan as the first part of "Yerevanian Etudes" uses the elaborate version of Sayat-Nova's song "Dun en glkhen".

9. The plot of "Almast '' opera was chosen by Alexander Spendiaryan and Hovhannes Tumanyan in 1916, during the meeting in Tbilisi (Georgia).

10.  Alexander Spendiaryan House-Museum was officially opened in 1967. It is the first music memorial museum in Armenia.
