Closing concert of the 15th Yerevan International Music Festival
The Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of Eduard Topchjan, will present the passionate and dramatic opera “Un ballo in maschera” (“A Masked Ball”) by Giuseppe Verdi, which is rarely performed in Armenia.

The opera will be performed as part of the 15th Yerevan International Music Festival on November 3 at 19:00 in the "Aram Khachatryan" concert hall.

Guest opera soloists Marcelo Puente (tenor), Bogdan Bachu (baritone), Yevgenia Muravyova (soprano), Yulia Mennibayeva (mezzo-soprano), and Olga Pudova (soprano) will perform the main roles; the rest of the roles will be played by Ashot Ghantarjian (bass), Hovhannes Nersesyan (bass), Hayk Tigranyan (bass), Aramo Mamikonyan (tenor), and Alen Manukyan (tenor).

The opera is performed by the Armenia National Academic Choir (Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Hovhannes Tchekidjian) and the Choir of the special vocal-choral school of the voice preservation (artistic director Karine Arakelyan, conductor Emma Arakelyan).

Eduard Topchyan conducts “Un ballo in Maschera” in the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, with the spectacular staging of the legendary opera director David Livermore, and is anxious to showcase the opera in his birthplace. Topchyan conducts Puccini's "Tosca" and Verdi's "Louisa Miller" operas at the Bolshoi Theater regularly.
