Isabelle Faust to perform in Armenia again
The winner of the Grammophone Award, Diapason d'Or and other prestigious competitions, famous violinist Isabelle Faust will perform with the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Eduard Topchjan.
The concert will take place on March 16, at 7:00 p.m., at Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall. Together with the orchestra, Isabelle Faust will perform Beethoven's Violin Concerto. Faust is considered one of the best performers of the famous concerto. Beethoven's 8th symphony will be played in the second part of the concert. Faust plays violin made by Antonio Stradivari and called "Sleeping Beauty" (c. 1704).
Isabelle Faust has strong friendships with the Armenian Philharmonic. This is his third collaboration with the orchestra. For the first time, Faust performed at the opening concert of the 7th Yerchanyan International Music Festival in Armenia (September 11, 2013), presenting Mozart's Violin Concertos No. 1 and 4. The second performance was at the Tampere Concert Hall in Finland. With that concert, the Philharmonic opened the big world tour dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide (April 11, 2015), and Faust performed Shimanovsky's Violin Concerto. Both concerts were conducted by Eduard Topchjan.
