Nearly 100,000 people enjoyed Yerevan International Ballet Festival
The Yerevan International Ballet Festival took place from June 6 to 13, initiated by the Mayor of Yerevan. The festival provided Armenian audiences with a rare opportunity to experience world-renowned ballet performances presented by distinguished international artists.
The festival opened with iconic performances by the legendary Bolshoi Theatre of Moscow, presenting "Giselle" and "Gala Ballet". Next, the Mariinsky Theatre of Saint Petersburg captivated the audience with prominent performances of "Chopiniana" and "Scheherazade". Aram Khachaturian's famous ballets "Spartacus" and "Gayane" were also presented.
The festival concluded with performances by the Armenian National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after Alexander Spendiaryan, featuring "Bolero X" and "The Rite of Spring".
