Yerevan Opera to present Charles Aznavour's musical
The delegation headed by the Minister of Culture of France Rima Abdul Malak, who was on an official visit to Armenia, visited A. Spendiaryan National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet. Daniel Danielyan, RA Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, accompanied the delegation.
Director of the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet, Karen Durgaryan, presented the history and activities of the theater to the Minister of Culture of France, Rima Abdul Malak, the members of the delegation, and the guests took a tour of the structure.
Welcoming guests, Karen Durgaryan noted that "this building with Alexander Tamanyan architecture and exceptional architectural solutions is located in the heart of Yerevan and is one of the capital's symbols."Popular artists and notable ballet masters have performed on the stage of the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet—the world-renowned chansonnier Charles Aznavour, whose 100th birthday we are celebrating in 2024, performed here. We will present Charles Aznavour's musical "Toulouse-Lautrec" in the theater for the first time.
The guests were also present at the rehearsal of the "Friendship" ensemble and the performance of the participants of the "Youth Opera Program" (director: Levon Javadyan).
