Opera Theatre getting ready for English National Ballet performance
On May 10 and 11, the world-famous English National Ballet will be in Yerevan with Akram Khan’s “Giselle” performance considered to be the masterpiece of dance art of the 21st century.
The Opera Theatre is getting ready for the most awaited cultural event of the year carrying out construction activities to adjust the backstage, dressing rooms, and corridors.
To host the English National Ballet means a new level up for the capital city. There are lots of requirements set for the ballet days. Special premises were separated for washing the stage dresses, and the stage of the Opera will be completely redecorated.
Art without limits and in a peculiar philosophy. It’s impossible not to feel and relive Akram Khan’s “Giselle”. His body language is highly realistic and expressive.
Yerevan Municipality realizes this project through a series of cultural programs. This is the first mega international project for Yerevan. Yerevan will become the world’s 11th capital city to host the English National Ballet.
