Young pianist Ani Melikian (professor: Irina Grigoryan), a third-grade student at the Yerevan P. I. Tchaikovsky Specialized Music School, has recorded another international success by winning first prize.
On April 2, 2026, the pianist represented Armenia at the Grand Prize Virtuoso competition held at the Berlin Philharmonie, where around 50 talented musicians from different countries participated. At this international competition, Ani Melikyan represented Armenia and received first prize.
This is not Ani Melikian’s first international appearance. She has also performed at prestigious competitions held in Amsterdam and Hilversum, once again demonstrating her high professional level and performance excellence.
It is worth noting that during her European concerts, Ani Melikian also presented Armenian classical music, performing Arno Babajanian’s “Melody,” which was warmly received by the audience.
