Nikolay Madoyan performs Paganini’s 24 Caprices in Europe’s prestigious concert halls
Renowned Armenian violinist Nikolay Madoyan continues his international concert, presenting audiences with one of the most demanding works in the violin repertoire: Niccolò Paganini’s complete set of 24 Caprices.
In March 2025, Madoyan performed all 24 Caprices in a single, uninterrupted concert at Milan’s Sala Verdi. The performance lasted more than an hour and concluded with enthusiastic applause.
Madoyan’s artistry has attracted the attention of The Strad, a leading magazine dedicated to string instruments, which published an interview with the violinist. In the interview, Madoyan discussed the challenges of performing Paganini’s pieces and his approach to the music.
Performing 24 Caprices requires exceptional technical mastery and memory.
Madoyan’s career has been marked by other remarkable achievements too. He has performed all six of Paganini’s violin concertos from memory in a single concert. In 2017, he also set a Guinness World Record by playing the violin continuously for more than 33 hours.
Madoyan has performed at prestigious concert venues worldwide, introducing international audiences to his distinctive artistry. His project dedicated to Paganini’s 24 Caprices offers another opportunity to explore the expressive possibilities of the violin and the rich heritage of classical music.
