Biography
Violist, People's Artist of the Armenian SSR Henrikh Talalyan graduated from the Moscow Conservatory A. Teryan's class in 1948. 1948-1972 he was a lecturer at the Moscow Gnessin Music Pedagogical Institute, a professor since 1972, conductor of a chamber orchestra, and from 1947 to 1972 he was a viola player of the Komitas String Quartet.
Arranged a number of compositions for viola, and string quartet. The Gavar music school was named after Henrikh Talalyan.
He has performed in various ensembles with Mstislav Rostropovich, R. Barsha, L. Kogan, S. Richter.
He is the brother of RA People's Artist Geronti Talalyan, the uncle of RA Honored Artist Aram Talalyan.
