Composer Andranik Berberyan created the music of the EBRD Annual Meeting and Business Forum gala concert
The events are taking place from May 14-16, with more than 2,000 high-ranking officials from over 75 countries attending in Armenia."For the opening ceremony, I created music that is accompanied by dance numbers depicting various stages of our history, along with a video show. The ceremony is produced by Background Production, and Tigran Kuzikyan and I, along with our team at Berberyan Productions Studio, are extremely pleased to collaborate once again with producer Vazgen Poghosyan and director Naire Stepanyan on such an important project. Through this project, we aim to honorably showcase the full spectrum of our rich culture with newly composed music specifically written for the gala concert," -Andranik Berberyan noted. The choral parts of the music are performed by the "Hover" State Choir, headed by Sona Hovhannisyan.
Berberyan also collaborated with cellist Mikael Navasardyan, who will perform a new composition written for cello and string orchestra. Together with Stepanyan, Berberyan focused on integrating traditional Armenian dances, ensuring the international audience experiences the power and spirit of Armenian musical instruments. Hovhannes Sargsyan from Swag Art School served as the chief choreographer of the event. They also worked with the "Berd" dance ensemble, headed by Karen Gevorgyan.

This is not Berberyan's first time composing music for a large-scale project. In 2021, he wrote the music for the event celebrating the 30th anniversary of Armenia's independence. In 2022, he composed the music for Armenia's participation in the Dubai Expo, and in 2023, he created the music for the opening ceremony of the European Weightlifting Championship.
