ANPO to open Days of Armenian Culture in Georgia

As part of the celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia, the Days of Armenian Culture will be held in Georgia. The program will kick off on October 7 at the Zakaria Paliashvili Tbilisi State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre with a gala concert by the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Eduard Topchyan.

The program brings together masterpieces of Armenian, Georgian, and world classical music, including Zakaria Paliashvili’s “Wedding Scene” from the opera Abesalom and Eteri, Antonín Dvořák’s Cello Concerto, and Aram Khachaturian’s Symphony No. 2 (Symphony with Bells).

The soloist of the concert will be renowned cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan, First Prize winner of the XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition, who will perform Dvořák’s celebrated Cello Concerto.
