"Moravian Autumn" festival culminated with armenian music
The Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra performed at the closing ceremony of the 51st Czech "Moravian Autumn" ("Moravský podzim") International Festival.
On October 17, at the Janacek Theater in Brno, the orchestra under the direction of maestro Eduard Topchyan performed works by Armenian composers: Tigran Mansuryan's "... and then I was in time agai", written for viola orchestra ( soloist: Luca Ranieri (Italy), Avet Terteryan - Symphony No. 3 and Aram Khachaturian - Symphony No. 2.
The organizers of the festival noted that Armenian music was one of the main themes of this year's "Moravian Autumn" festival. After the concert, the director of the Brno Philharmonic Marie Kucherova said that by inviting the Armenian National Philharmonic, they pay tribute to Armenia as a country with rich musical traditions, especially when the Republic of Armenia celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.
This is the second tour of the Armenian Philharmonic after the cancellation of international tour restrictions due to the pandemic. The first concert of the Philharmonic outside Armenia took place on October 6 in the Republic of Italy on the occasion of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sargsyan.
