The autumn season of the Jubilee Festival of the Union of Composers begins
On September 13, the first concert of the autumn season of the jubilee festival dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Composers' Union of Armenia will take place at the komitas Chamber Music House.
The festival supported by the Ministry of ESCS started back in May, with the participation of the State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia and the Vanadzor State Chamber Orchestra.
5 more concerts are planned for the festival. In particular, works by Armenian composers will be presented on September 13, by the State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia (conductor: Ruben Asatryan) and a week later, on September 20, by the Yerevan State Chamber Choir (conductor: Kristina Voskanyan).
On September 30, a concert will be held in Vanadzor with the participation of the Vanadzor State Chamber Orchestra. The same orchestra will perform in Yerevan, at the Composers Union, on October 4. On October 8, a concert of chamber works by Armenian composers will take place in the concert hall of the Union. The festival will culminate on October 12 at the Aram Khachatryan Concert Hall. At the closing concert, the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra will perform under the baton of conductor Ruben Asatryan.
As part of the anniversary events, an exhibition of archive materials of the Union is planned to be opened in the Yerevan metro. On September 24, a concert of works by young Armenian composers will be held at the Aram Khachatryan House Museum, dedicated to the jubilee of the union.
