Events dedicated to Arno Babajanyan's 100th anniversary
January 22 marks the 100th anniversary of the famous Armenian composer Arno Babajanyan. On this occasion, a series of events are organized in Yerevan. A memorial service will be held at the central cemetery in Yerevan with the participation of representatives of the RA Ministry of ESCS and music lovers.
A flower-laying ceremony and a concert program during which the composer's works will be performed will take place near the statue of Arno Babajanyan at 1:00 p.m.
The series will end on the same day at 19:00 at Aram Khachatryan Concert Hall featuring pianist Hayk Melikyan, violinist Anush Nikoghosyan and cellist Sevak Avanesyan. Program: Six pictures for piano (1965), Sonata for violin and piano (1959), Piano Trio (1952).
