Famous Armenian cellist and music teacher Vagram Saradjian died at age 71. Vagram Saradjian was born in 1948, in Yerevan in the family of pianist, composer Georgi Saradjev and singer Anna Saradjian. In 1971 he graduated from Moscow concervatory. Saradjian performed as solo artist in London, Paris, Milan, Geneve, Vienna, Madrid, Buenos Aires, New York under the baton of Valeri Gergiev, Ohan Durian, Evgeni Svetlanov, Yuri Temirkanov, and colaborated with D. Geringas, E. Kisin, D. Phillips. He was honored guest of many festivals around the world (Dmitri Shostakovich festival in New York, St Petersburg’s Stars of the White Nights Festival etc.) He moved to USA in 1991. Armenian National Music team is expressing profound sorrow and condolences to the Saradjian's family and his admirers.
