National Chamber Orchestra celebrates its 60th anniversary
A Gala concert dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia will be held at Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall on March 2. National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia (Artistic Director and Principal Conductor - Vahan Mardirossian), National Chamber Choir of Armenia (Artistic director and conductor - Robert Mlkeyan), “Hover” State Chamber Choir (Choirmaster - Sona Hovhannisyan), Yerevan State Chamber Choir (Artistic Director and Choirmaster - Kristina Voskanyan) will participate in the jubilee concert. Soloists: Vahan Mardirossian (piano), Svetlana Navasardyan (piano), Nikolay Madoyan (violin) and Narek Hakhnazaryan (cello).
The collectives will perform under the baton of the conductors Vahan Mardirossian, Zaven Vardanyan, Hmayak Durgaryan and Robert Mlkeyan. The concert program includes L. van Beethoven: “The Fantasy” for piano, vocal soloists, mixed chorus, and orchestra, Op. 80 (soloist: Svetlana Navasardyan,piano) Komitas/Z. Sahakyants: Holy Liturgy (excerpt), Edvard Mirzoyan: Symphony for Timpani and Strings ( 4th mov.), E. Baghdasaryan: "Nocturne" (soloist: Narek Hakhnazaryan, cello), W. A. Mozart: Divertimento in D major, K.136 (excerpt), W. A. Mozart: Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major, K. 467 (2nd mov.) (soloist: Vahan Mardirossian, piano), A. Vivaldi: “Summer” from “The Four Seasons”, RV 315 (soloist: Nikolay Madoyan, violin).
