Ruzan Mantashyan and Gurgen Baveyan at Valeri Harutyunyan Tribute concert
A chamber music concert with the participation of world-famous soprano Ruzan Mantashyan and famous baritone Gurgen Baveyan will be held on May 10, at 8:00 p.m. at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall. The musicians dedicate the concert to their teacher, Valeri Harutyunyan, who would have turned 80 this year. Accompanist: YKSC professor Margarit Sargsyan.

During the concert, Ruzan Mantashyan and Gurgen Baveyan will perform the vocal compositions of Ludwig van Beethoven, Peter Tchaikovsky, Antonin Dvorak, Gabriel Faure, Ernest Shosson, Sergei Rachmaninoff, as well as Sayat-Nova's songs.

Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia, long-term lecturer of the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas, Professor Valeri Harutyunyan was a soloist of the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater after Spendiaryan, having more than 20 roles in his repertoire. In parallel with his activities at the Opera House, V. Harutyunyan also sang in the choir of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. He was awarded a Gold Medal by the RA Ministry of Culture and order  "St. Sahak and St. Mesrop" handed in by Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II.
