National Opera and Ballet Theater of Armenia to include "Turandot" the repertoire
On July 29, at 7:00 p.m., the three-act opera "Turandot" by J. Puccini will premiere at the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after A. Spendiaryan.
The world premiere of the opera about the love story of Princess Turandot and Calaf took place in 1926 at the La Scala theater in Milan, after which it spread to the most prestigious concert halls and theaters worldwide. Calaf is a young prince who tries to win the heart of Princess Turandot, which he succeeds in doing. "Turandot" is one of the most famous works of the leading opera repertoire, which will be included in the repertoire of the National Opera and Ballet Theater of Armenia for the first time.
