September 1 in Babajanyan Melodies
Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Araksia Svajyan congratulated the students of the Arno Babajanyan State Music and Pedagogical College on the occasion of Knowledge and Schooling Day.
The start of the academic year was particularly symbolic for the Babajanyan College, as this year marks the 105th anniversary of the birth of renowned Armenian composer Arno Babajanyan.
Congratulating the students and staff on Knowledge and Schooling Day, Deputy Minister Araksia Svajyan expressed confidence that many of the college’s students will go on to become artists representing Armenia on various international platforms, continuing to promote the music of Arno Babajanyan and the finest traditions of Armenian culture.
Artyom Harutyunyan, Director of the College, also delivered welcoming remarks, wishing the students to make every day an opportunity for new achievements.
In accordance with an established tradition, first-year students received their student ID cards on the first day of the academic year.
The event concluded with musical performances by student-formed ensembles of the college.
A total of 470 students are currently enrolled at the Arno Babajanyan State Music and Pedagogical College, with 128 students admitted to the first year this academic year.
