Biography
Suren Zakaryan was born on December 11, 1956, in Yerevan in a family of musicians. In 1981 he graduated from the piano department of the Moscow State Conservatory Peter Tchaikovsky, in 1983 from the postgraduate course of the same institution (class of professor L. Vlasenko). In 1985 he graduated from the composition department of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory (class of composer Edward Mirzoyan).
Suren Zakaryan was a laureate of international competitions. Author of a symphony, chamber works performed in Europe and USA by famous artists.
For nearly two decades he headed the piano department of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory.
