Biography

Armenian pianist Hasmik Manukyan is a prize winner in Arno Babajanyan and Emin Khachaturian National Piano Competitions (2002). She had her orchestral debut with the Armenian Radio Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of eight. Her main teachers in Armenia included Suren Zakarian and Susanna Yeritsyan.

From 2010 having become a prize-winner in Heghine Ter-Ghevondyan Piano Accompanists Competition her main passion becomes collaborative piano. After finishing the Master studies at LUCA School of Arts, campus Lemmens with Alan Weiss (Leuven, Belgium), Hasmik refined her collaborative piano skills at Brussels Royal Conservatory of Music with Anne Op de Beeck and Inge Spinette (Belgium) and received a Post Graduate degree in piano accompaniment.

Mrs. Manukyan is in high demand as a soloist, chamber musician and collaborator, having performed across Armenia, Russia, Europe, USA and Canada, having appeared in Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall (Yerevan), Flagey Concert Hall (Brussels), AMUZ Concert Hall (Antwerp), Besední dům (Brno), Queen Elizabeth Hall (London), Kerrytown Concert Hall (Ann Arbor, Michigan) among others.

Mrs. Manukyan has participated in many masterclasses as a collaborative pianist with such renowned musicians as Guy Braunstein (violin), Chain Taub (violin), Dmitry Sitkovetsky (violin), Elisabette Andreani (soprano), Ubaldo Fabbri (vocal coach) etc. In 2015 and 2017 she had been one of the accompanists of the Arthur Grimaux International Violin Competition (Namur, Belgium) and the Leonid Kogan International Violin Competition (Brussels, Belgium). She also collaborates with the masterclass program “dakAdemy”, launched by Dakapp, which includes such teachers as Leonidas Kavakos, Zakhar Bron, Ning Feng, Dmitriy Sitkovetski, Pavel Vernikov.

Currently, Mrs. Manukyan is in high demand as a collaborative pianist in Belgium and regularly plays in the classes of Valerie Guillorit (singing), Yucheng-Lu (singing), Philippe Graffin (violin), Jeroen Reuling (cello), Viviane Spanoghe (cello), Frank Hendrickx (flute), Carlos Brunneel (flute), Luc Loubry (bassoon), Stefaan Verdegem (oboe), Benjamin Dieltjens (clarinet), Jana Bouskova (harp) in Brussels Royal Conservatory. Besides that she has teaching studios in the state music academies of Leuven and Zaventem.

Other musicians
